Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, an influential figure in the Turkish business world, renowned for his vision, hails originally from Kayseri. He graduated from Ankara TED College and pursued his undergraduate studies at Ankara Gazi University, majoring in Economics and Business Administration. Starting his professional career in the family business, Hisarcıklıoğlu was elected as a member of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce Assembly in 1992.

After serving one year as Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, the country’s largest business organization comprising 365 Chambers and Commodity Exchanges with over 2 million members, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu assumed the position of President following the elections held in 2001. Hisarcıklıoğlu continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board at TOBB (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye).

Holding numerous prestigious titles both domestically and internationally, Hisarcıklıoğlu has held high-level positions such as the Presidency of the World Federation of Chambers, Board Member of the International Chamber of Commerce, Vice Presidency of EUROCHAMBRES, Vice Presidency of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Vice Presidency of the Asia Pacific Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Presidency of B20 Türkiye.

Having served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Board of DEİK between 2001 and 2014, Hisarcıklıoğlu currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG), which fulfilled Türkiye’s 60-year dream of producing a domestic automobile. Hisarcıklıoğlu’s close relations and high-level contacts with the international community have led to him receiving medals of honour from many countries, including Germany, Austria, Azerbaijan, France, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, as well as numerous medals, orders, honorary doctorates, and awards from universities, chambers of commerce, and non-governmental organizations around the world.
