WITH JUST FOUR YEARS TO GO UNTIL 2030: BUILDING THE FUTURE WITHIN TIME
Dear Readers,
There are only four years left until 2030. Global economic, technological, and geopolitical shifts point to a rare period of rapid acceleration in history. As the production models we’re used to are transforming, the rules of trade are being rewritten; countries and institutions are redefining their roles within this new order. Today, it is no longer just observers of change but those who shape it who are leading. The era we live in is not only an age of technological progress but also a search for meaning, direction, and balance. This transformation— covering artificial intelligence, the green transition, the digital economy, and new business models—calls on individuals and institutions to become more agile, connected, and responsible. In this era of rapid change, the real challenge is not only adapting but also actively shaping it. Türkiye is positioning itself not just as an observer but as an active participant in global trade and business diplomacy. The international networks of our business community, led by DEİK and the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK), play a vital role in strengthening cross-border economic relations, forming new partnerships, and fostering multilateral trade. In this context, correctly understanding the opportunities the times present and creating sustainable value are more important than ever. In this issue of our magazine, we focus on the new dynamics that global transformation brings to business practices under the title “4 Years to 2030: A New World Between Technology, People and the Economy.” While examining the position of the Turkish business world within global networks from the DTİK perspective, we evaluate the financial opportunities Türk Eximbank offers for exports, the COP31 Istanbul process, and the new climate governance threshold through a strategic lens. Additionally, we highlight the human dimension of this transformation through the works of artist Uğur Gallenkuş, which reflect the contradictions of the world. In this brief yet crucial window leading up to 2030, the goal is not merely to prepare for the future but to build it from today.
We hope you enjoy reading.
