Altınay Defence Aims to Increase International Cooperations
As Altınay Savunma Teknolojileri A.Ş, we have been offering a wide range of products and solutions to our industry stakeholders, including critical technologies on a system and subsystem basis, since the day we were founded. We feel the pride of being a stakeholder in all critical projects in our country such as air defence systems, 5th generation warplanes, National Frigate, submarines, flight test systems, early warning radar systems, and so on. The unique and high-quality products we offer such as motion control technologies, unmanned land and air vehicles, weapon systems, ammunition disposal and production technologies, and many others have brought Altınay Defence to a significant point on the path of becoming a global brand.
Being active in the field of defence and aerospace since 2006, our company Altınay Defence Technologies maintains its activities as Altınay Defence Group, which consists of TAAC Aerospace Technologies established in partnership with TAI in 2019 and DASAL Aerospace Technologies established in partnership with ASELSAN in 2020. Employing over 200 engineers and 350 employees, Altınay Defence Group is currently a respectable and significant player in the technology-oriented engineering activities of Türkiye. The willingness of the two largest defence and aerospace companies of Türkiye to partner with our company is tangible proof of Altınay’s level of capability. Our initial strategy in our defence and aerospace activities which we have been implementing for 17 years was primarily to free our country from foreign dependency on critical technologies and products. As a result of the value we have produced and the level of technological competence we have achieved during such a long and arduous journey, we are now capable of presenting our capabilities as a global player. For this purpose, our group companies carrying out intensive business development activities with the friends and allies of our country are taking concrete steps with the purpose of making a big leap in exports and have the potential to become a significant player that will soon be known around the world.
The high field performance of each of the products and solutions we have developed is among the Turkish defence and aerospace products attracting great attention in export markets. Landing gears, flight control systems and flight test systems, which we are developing under TAAC and own the capabilities that are able to compete with the best companies around the world and our Multi-Rotor UAVs developed under DASAL and ammunition production and destruction technologies that we offer under the roof of Altınay Defense make up our outstanding capabilities in terms of export. The off-the-shelf product strategy that we have put forward in recent years, the fact that we have reached the level of turnkey system supplier from subcontracting, maturation in our design philosophy and the emphasis we place on business development activities are the main elements of the export capability we have achieved. Planning to new develop new products and business models in the upcoming years, we aim to increase international cooperation and maximize our competitive advantage with the support of our competent companies in our ecosystem.
Along with our business development teams, which we have focused on recently and whose number we have constantly increased, we feel the pride of having reached a stage where all our products which have matured as a result of the intense field activities of our armed forces have taken their places in the international market. The business models we have developed and the long-term strategies we have put forward allowed us to establish many cooperations in Southeast Asia, Gulf countries, Africa, the USA, South America, and Europe. Therefore, we are in a period where we lean towards technology transfer and co-production, as we reap the tangible fruits of our long-standing negotiations with many countries. We believe that we will be able to share the good news about our projects in the fields of unmanned systems and motion control technologies soon.
