Digitalisation Increased The Efficiency of Meetings
Yılmaz Soycan, Chairperson of Turkey-Belarus Business Councils
I think that, with digitalisation taking up more space in our lives due to the pandemic, a new common language has been discovered in the international trade arena. People started believing that they could soundly conduct their businesses even without coming together in person.
One of our group companies operating in different fields and countries, Çağ Lojistik AŞ has already been conducting all its activities online or by telephone for a long time. Whereas we visited the foreign offices of our companies and business partners every 10 days before the pandemic, we chose to conduct our businesses
with 1-2 video calls a week. The number of meetings increased; however, the meeting decreased with more efficient results. We also started using time more effectively and had the chance to utilise new opportunities. And we definitely had tremendous savings in terms of travel expenses.
