DOUBLE PRIDE AT TÜGİAD’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY GALA
TÜGİAD, Türkiye’s first and only international association of young businesspeople, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a gala attended by leading figures from the worlds of business, art, and society. The association’s global vision and leadership in Europe took center stage during the evening.
TÜGİAD Board Chairperson Gürkan Yıldırım highlighted the association’s international growth in his speech, stating, “As TÜGİAD, we have established a global network by opening branches in China and the US; we have certified the strength of the Turkish business world on the international stage by assuming the presidency of YES for Europe, Europe’s largest umbrella organization for young entrepreneurs.”
Yıldırım noted that TÜGİAD encompasses more than 60 sectors, with members exporting to over 100 countries, providing employment to more than 700,000 people, and generating a total trade volume exceeding $70 billion. He stated that, following the opening of the TÜGİAD China Center in Beijing in April, new summits covering various sectors will be organized in the coming period.
Yıldırım stated that the opening of the TÜGİAD America Branch in Houston aims to develop trade with the US and announced that the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit will be held in Vienna in 2026 in partnership with TÜGİAD and YES for Europe.
During the evening, Founding President Jefi Kamhi and 12th Term President Lütfü Küçük also delivered speeches, highlighting TÜGİAD’s 40 years of experience. At the ceremony, plaques were presented to new members and supporters, and the evening ended with stage performances by Aytaç Doğan and Zeynep Bastık.
TÜGİAD emphasized that it will continue to contribute to the Turkish economy with the motto “The Future Belongs to the Youth, the Youth Belong to TÜGİAD.”
