GEV FUTURE SUMMIT HELD AT MEXT TECHNOLOGY CENTER ON DECEMBER 9

The GEV Future Summit, organized by the Gedik Education Foundation (GEV) and Istanbul Gedik University, was held at the MEXT Technology Center on December 9, 2025. Held under the theme “The Future at the Intersection of Education, Technology, and Employment,” the summit brought together representatives from the education sector, business leaders, young people, and civil society organizations.
Host and GEV volunteer Hande Demirel opened and moderated the summit. In her speech, Demirel emphasized the importance of partnerships that shed light on the development of young people. The opening speech was delivered by Hülya Gedik, Chair of the Board of Directors of Gedik Holding and Chairperson of the GEV Board of Trustees. Gedik shared GEV’s efforts to equip young people and women with the skills of the future, conveying the message, “We are not waiting for the future; we are building it together.”

Efe Erdem, General Manager of MEXT Technology Center, highlighted the strategic value of technology and conveyed the importance of sustainable competition in industrial transformation.

Following the opening ceremonies, the Future Talks began, featuring speakers Aydın Erdem, Ahu Büyükkuşoğlu Serter, Şahin Tulga, Seçil Yıldız, and Murat Alsan. The summit addressed artificial intelligence, the future of employment, education models, sustainable finance, and social trends.

With a rich program of music performances and Radyo Gedik Open Mic chats during coffee breaks, the summit created a dynamic atmosphere fostering connections, inspiration, and forward-looking ideas
