The portable BIO2Flow device, which can operate inde- pendently from intensive care units, is aimed to provide great support to healthcare professionals. Nihat Bayız, Assistant General Manager Responsible for Production and Technology at Arçelik, talked about the importance of the device in the healthcare sector, saying, “Developed with the joint efforts of Arçelik and Biosys R&D engineers after a detailed preliminary research and design process based on the experiences of doctors and healthcare professionals, BIO2Flow was produced with the advanced production technologies in our Çerkezköy facilities.” Bayız added that the BIO2Flow high flow oxygen therapy de- vice will make a great contribution to the treatment of COVID-19. And Cemal Erdoğan, Founder and General Manager of Biosys, stated that they managed to produce the mechanical ventilators, which are highly needed and found only in limited amounts in the entire world, in a very short time with entirely domestic means and added, “BiO2Flow is now actively used in our hospitals to support our healthcare professionals who fight at the expense of their lives in this difficult pandemic period.” Sağlık sektörünün koronavirüs salgını ile ortaya çıkan ihtiyaçlarına daha önce solunum cihazı üretimiyle destek olan, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı öncülüğünde, Aselsan ve Baykar firması ile birlikte Biosys’in geliştirdiği mekanik ventilatörün seri üretimini yapan Arçelik ve Biosys, şimdi de COVID-19 tedavisinde kritik öneme sahip BIO2Flow yüksek akış oksijen terapisi cihazı ile dünyaya nefes ola- cak. Yoğun bakım ünitelerinden bağımsız çalışabilen ve taşınabilen BIO2Flow cihazının sağlık çalışanlarına büyük destek sağlaması hedefleniyor. Arçelik Üretim ve Teknolo- ji’den Sorumlu Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Nihat Bayız, cihazın sağlık sektöründe önemli bir adım olduğunu belirterek, şunları kaydetti: “Arçelik ve Biosys Ar-Ge mühendisle- rinin ortak çalışmaları sayesinde, doktorların ve sağlık çalışanlarının saha deneyimlerine dayanılarak, detaylı bir ön araştırma ve tasarım süreci sonrasında geliştirilen BIO2Flow, ileri düzey üretim teknolojilerine sahip Çerkez- köy’deki tesislerimizde üretildi.” Bayız, BIO2Flow yüksek akış oksijen terapisi cihazının COVID-19 tedavisinde büyük katkı sağlayacağını aktardı. Tüm dünyanın ihtiyaç duyduğu ve sınırlı sayıda üretimi bulunan mekanik ventilatörleri, tamamıyla yerli imkanlarla çok kısa bir süre içerisinde üretmeyi başardıklarını belirten Biosys Kurucusu ve Genel Müdürü Cemal Erdoğan ise, “BIO2Flow, pandeminin bu zorlu döneminde canı pahasına sahada mücadele eden sağlık çalışanlarımızın COVID-19 ile mücadelesinde destek olmak amacıyla hastanelerimizde aktif olarak kullanılmaya başlandı” ifadelerini kullandı.
