A D V E R T O R I A L T ÜRKSAT 5A, Türksat’s first 5th gen- eration satellite, is ready for service at 31 o East. Manufactured by Airbus DS on E3000 platform with full electric propulsion and launched by Space X Falcon 9 rocket on January 8th, 2021, TÜRKSAT 5A travelled over 4 months in space to reach its orbital slot. After the completion of in orbit tests , TURKSAT 5A started its over 30 years of maneuver life. Türksat plans to offer TV broadcasting ser- vices to Europe, the Middle East and Africa region and data communication services to whole coverage area with TÜRKSAT 5A. TÜRKSAT 5A service area covers Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Mid- west Africa, South Africa , the Mediterra- nean Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Black Sea region. TÜRKSAT 5A will be the fourth satellite in Türksat’s fleet and provide 1728 Mhz of Ku Band capacity. Türksat also of- fers the new Ku Band to its customers with TÜRKSAT 5A satellite. Türksat also plans to launch its flagship satellite TÜRKSAT 5B within this year to ex- pand its satellite fleet, coverage areas and capacity. Türksat’a ait ilk 5. nesil uydu TÜRKSAT 5A, 31 o Doğu yörüngesinde hizmet vermeye hazır. Airbus DS tarafından E3000 platformunda tam elektrikli itki motoru ve 8 Ocak 2021 tarihinde Space X Falcon 9 roketi ile fır- latılan TÜRKSAT 5A, yörüngesine ulaşmak üzere 4 aydan uzun bir süre uzayda yolcu- luk gerçekleştirdi. TÜRKSAT 5A, yörünge testlerinin tamamlanışının ardından 30 yılı aşan manevra ömrüne başladı. Türksat, TÜRKSAT 5A ile Avrupa, Or- tadoğu ve Afrika bölgesine TV yayın hiz- meti ve tüm kapsama alanına veri iletişim hizmetleri sunmayı planlıyor. TÜRKSAT 5A’nın hizmet alanı Türkiye, Avrupa, Orta Doğu, Kuzey Afrika, Orta Batı Afrika, Güney Afrika, Akdeniz, Ege Denizi ve Karadeniz bölgelerini kapsam- aktadır. TÜRKSAT 5A, Türksat filosunda- ki dördüncü uydu olacak ve 1728 Mhz Ku Bant kapasitesi sağlayacak. Türksat, yeni Ku Bandı da TÜRKSAT 5A uydusu ile müşterilerine sunuyor. Türksat, uydu filosunu, kapsama alanlarını ve kapasitesini genişletmek amacıyla ami- ral gemisi uydusu TÜRKSAT 5B’yi de bu yıl içerisinde fırlatmayı planlıyor.
