Mexico, a New Model to Economic Stimulus
Although distances make difficult to establish close partnerships, Turkey and Mexico consider each other as a strategic partner
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador developed a new economic model to promote exports and attract foreign direct investment to his country. This model is established on three bases including inclusion, innovation and diversification. The President instructed the council of ministers to promote Mexican exports, especially SMEs, and ensure that they can develop this area. With this instruction, it is aimed to attract investments that will increase the economic activity of Mexico and create qualified projects.
The basic element of the new paradigm of economic stimulus is to use the power of data science which will create economic intelligence that will enable us to be more decided in our strategies for attracting new investments and increasing our exports to other countries. The Minister Graciela Márquez established Global Economic Intelligence Unit in order to develop these policies. This unit will work in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement this strategy in Mexico’s 150 embassies and consulates abroad. Public and private sector work together for this task.
Although distances make difficult to establish close partnerships, Turkey and Mexico consider each other as a strategic partner. Both countries serve as bridges to get into new markets. Mexico is the bridge between United Stated and Latin America and Turkey is the bridge between Asia and Europe. Under these circumstances, the Pacific Alliance is crucial to our bilateral relations.
