The Pandemic Strengthened Our Leadership Perception
Hülya Gedik, Chairperson of Turkey-Bangladesh Business Councils
We will improve our skills in effective decision-making, accessing the right people and offering different solutions after the outbreak.
We have adopted an unusual working order during the outbreak. We have taken the necessary measures in our factories and switched to a part-time working system on the operational side.
Much as it was challenging, COVID-19 also increased our resilience and taught us all a lesson. For example, digital transformation immediately accelerated. Institutions that invested in their technological infrastructure were the advantageous ones.
I also actively participated in DEIK’s digital meetings as a Business Council Chairperson. This digital environment cemented our perception of leadership and adaptation to change. I also believe that some of our habits will permanently change after the outbreak. We will improve our skills in effective decision-making, accessing the right people, and offering different solutions.
