As Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ), we keep contributing to our experience, which started in the structural field in the aerospace industry of Türkiye, through the original projects we have developed so far. We allocate 35-40% of our turnover to R&D investments to develop next-generation aircraft technologies in our offices located in various regions of our country and around the world. We make protocols in order to implement joint research and development projects on determined subjects by developing cooperation on education, training, and research through studies prioritizing university-industry cooperation. Besides, in our company, which contributes to the development of the domestic auxiliary industry, we offer the opportunity for over 3500 students who consider their future to be in aviation and space technologies to do internships in various projects and departments of our company. In addition, our company actively recruited 3000 people in 2022.

We undertake a number of domestic and national projects in areas such as aeroplanes to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), helicopters, space technologies, and others, as we make the world know us through the exports we carry out. We recently sold our HÜRKUŞ aircraft, which is a next-generation advanced training and armed reconnaissance aircraft in our air craft group, to Niger and Chad. Today, we maintain a close relationship with countries in Central Asia and the Far East, especially the African continent, within the scope of our export targets. Besides the overseas deliveries of the T129 ATAK helicopter in our helicopter group, we closely follow the processes of new sales contracts. In 2024, we will be delivering 2 platforms to the Philippine Air Force, where 4 T129 ATAK helicopters were delivered. As a result, a total of 6 T129 ATAK helicopters will be delivered under the contract.

In our UAV group, we keep performing deliveries of ANKA and AKSUNGUR without slowing down. In 2022, we made an agreement with three African countries for ANKA. Through the Space Systems Integration and Test Centre, we maintain the improvement of the integration and testing processes of Türkiye’s national satellites. In this context, integration and testing activities for TÜRKSAT 6A are still in progress. Conducting studies on next-generation satellite technologies at the Space Systems Engineering Centre, our company also keeps striving to perform the first satellite export of Türkiye through GSATCOM, which was established in partnership with the Argentine company INVAP. In the structural field, we manufacture and deliver critical components within the scope of aerial structures for an amount close to USD 500 million annually for many aerospace giants, especially AIRBUS and BOEING. Besides our exports, weare also making progress in our domestic delivery processes. In 2022, our company has grown byincreasing its revenue by 15% in USD following its successful process. 2023 will be a year when we will celebrate both the 100th anniversary of our Republic and our 50th anniversary as Turkish Aerospace. As of this year, our company will be making many breakthroughs, and on this occasion, we will make a great contribution to the Turkish aerospace ecosystem. As a result of the knowledge and experience we gained through HÜRKUŞ, we developed HÜRJET, which will be the first jet trainer of Türkiye.

We started the first engine of our prototype aircraft, which is planned to make its first flight this year. We installed the engine of the National Combat Aircraft, which will be among the world’s leading 5th-generation combat aircraft. Following the tests, it will be time to start the engine. As we always say, the National Combat Aircraft is a project that will make our country reach higher leagues in the field of aerospace. Keeping this in mind, we carry out our activities meticulously and include the benches, which are rare around the world due to their size, in the production line. As Turkish Aerospace Industries, we plan to realize the first delivery to the Gendarmerie General Command this year, as we maintain mass production activities for Türkiye’s first national and original helicopter T625 GÖKBEY. With the Heavy Class Attack Helicopter (ATAK 2) in 2023, we will maintain our efforts to provide our country with an attack helicopter, which is indigenous and unique in terms of its critical parts.

As Turkish Aerospace, we make an effective contribution to the Turkish aerospace ecosystem under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries. As we implement our projects that will shape the future of the aerospace industry, we believe that the Turkish aerospace industry will have a greater say around the world under the guidance of the Defense Industry Presidency.
