The number of international students who have preferred our country in the last 10 years has increased from 27,000 to 224,000. In particular, with the “Study in Türkiye” brand, high-level cooperation has been established by the private sector, public institutions and all stakeholders in order for directing the international education demand around the world to Türkiye. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we held our events online in 2020-21.

The event titled “THE Impact Rankings 2021”, in which the results of the impact rankings for Turkish universities were analyzed, was held in May in cooperation with Times Higher Education (THE). Also in May, in our “Türkiye-South Africa Cooperation and Opportunities in Higher Education” webinar, the introduction of Türkiye’s higher education opportunities and talent training programs that encourage the inclusion of graduates, especially from South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, who received education in Türkiye, to the Turkish private sector investments when they return their countries, as a workforce, were discussed. We attended the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo, of which we are a Global Partner, on June 1-5, 2021 with the “Study in Türkiye” stand and represented our country. In the four-day program, more than 3,600 registrants from 81 countries, 137 exhibitors (stands), 94 live sessions, 16 live workshops, 8 networking roundtables, and 2 NAFSA Signature Programs took place. Organized by the Canadian Bureau for International Education, CBIE 2021 Conference and Exhibition took place between November 15-19, 2021. Our Council attended the exhibition with the “Study in Türkiye” stand in the Turkish Pavilion.
