Technology and Time from Past to Future

Throughout history, humanity has been reshaped by technology at every turning point. The day we invented fire, we not only lit the night, but also laid the foundations for coexistence and production. Since then, the agricultural revolution, the industrial revolution, and now the digital revolution have radically changed humanity’s relationship with time. Today, technologies such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and blockchain have become an integral part of our lives. From agriculture to education, from finance to gaming, we are being transformed by the effects of technology.

With the digital revolution, time has accelerated once again; we are now producing more efficiently with smart systems in agriculture and moving forward with the unlimited opportunities offered by technology in our daily lives. Focusing on this dynamic transformation process, in this edition of Business Diplomacy magazine, which is in its 7th year, we discussed the effects of informatics in different sectors. While talking about the evaluation of 2024 and predictions for 2025 with DEİK Secretary General Caner Çolak, in our cover interview, we received inspiring information about the future of robotic technologies from Mustafa Mertcan, Chairperson of DEİK/ Türkiye-Portugal Business Council and Founder of Dof Robotics.

We also had an in-depth conversation with Abdurrahman Keklik on the future of quantum computers, while exploring the innovative approaches of Abdullah Eriş, Chairperson of DEİK/ Türkiye-Yemen Business Council in agriculture. We also had a pleasant interview with İsmail Ergun, General Manager of BYD Türkiye, on the future of electric vehicles in Türkiye. In this edition, you will discover the transformative effects of informatics in every sector and witness inspiring views on the future.
