The Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was established as an important institution during Türkiye’s transition to a free market economy. Implemented as the outward-facing face of the private sector, DEIK has become the institutional memory of Türkiye’s foreign trade over the years.

Having built bridges in more than 150 countries through business councils over the past 40 years, DEIK now faces a challenging task. This is because the world is undergoing major changes, from green transformation to the digital economy, regional trade agreements to new investment areas. DEIK’s experience is an important asset for the sustainability of Türkiye’s foreign economic relations in the face of global crises, geopolitical risks, and economic fluctuations.
