Offering services to domestic and international companies in the aerospace and defence industry under the body of Coşkunöz Holding, Coşkunöz Savunma Havacılık (CSH) is among the significant manufacturers in Türkiye with its aircraft fuselage manufacturing and assembly competence, and performs production for fixed and rotary wing platforms in the aerospace field. Manufacturing turnkey products for main contractor companies such as TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, and TÜBİTAK SAGE, the company also currently provides parts production for the world’s leading companies such as BOEING, AIRBUS, BOMBARDIER, EMBRAER. Having shipped 58 helicopters to the Korean Aerospace company, CSH aims to successfully complete the project through the delivery of a total of 60 fuselages in the first months of 2023.

Acquired by Coşkunöz Holding through an important investment in the future and new technologies in 2021, UAVERA produces technology solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Established to develop a generic flight control system for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV systems, target UAV platforms and UAVS, UAVERA keeps increasing its exports by making significant contributions to the aerospace industry in our country through the R&D activities and the products it develops. The CGT50 VTOL Unmanned Aerial Vehicle produced by UAVERA made an achievement in becoming the world’s first satellite-controlled UAV system in its class. Besides, the systems are integrated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the flight control system has managed to be a breakthrough in its class in this field, as it can be managed over the cloud. Capable of being controlled without distance restrictions through various connection
methods offered as an option, the CGT50 is able to operate fully autonomously in harsh weather conditions. The CGT50 ePower+ version developed by UAVERA allowed it to further develop its capabilities. Cengaver Hedef UAV is also used as a target simulation platform in the test, calibration, and training of air defence systems due to its high manoeuvrability, airtime as well as high field operation experience and capability.

“WE WILL KEEP INVESTING TO OFFER HIGH VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS TO THE TURKISH DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES”

Ünver Şahin, General Manager of Coşkunöz Defence & Aerospace Group, emphasizes that air transportation has a significant strategic and geographical position in Türkiye’s international air transportation and that air transportation is one of the critical factors ensuring the development of our country’s successful foreign expansion policy, developing exports, and intensifying international relations. Mr Şahin says, “Needs in the aerospace industry are rapidly increasing in our country and around the world. As CSH, we are striving to reduce foreign dependency in civil areas and help the Turkish aerospace and defence industry grow even more in the international arena. In these two areas, we aim to offer products and services with high added value in the near future. As CSH, we will maintain our investments in 2023 in line with our goals in order to increase our market share.”

Noting that through UAVERA, they aim to become the leader in the vertical take-off and landing UAV and the target UAV market in Türkiye, Mr Şahin states that they keep offering services and products in areas such as monitoring, surveillance, tracking, data analysis, and transportation through UAV solutions. He explains that they have developed systems that are capable of operating in a number of various areas such as the surveillance of forest areas, control of oil and power lines, regional monitoring in search and rescue activities, ensuring facility and environmental security, and so on. Another significant goal that Mr Şahin draws attention to is offering fast solutions in line with their short or long-term needs through the rental system they plan to implement.

Ünver Şahin said, “With UAVERA, we maintain our efforts to become the industry leader through vertical take-off and landing UAVs and target UAV platforms in Türkiye, as we are considering growth opportunities abroad and global partnerships in line with our strategies. We maintain our activities to meet the needs of many different countries, especially regions with challenging geographical conditions. As a brand producing state-of-the-art products, we wish to make a name for our brand in the international market in the near future.”
