We Evaluated the Needs and Demands of the Consultıng Engıneerıng Sector
In the 2019-21 period, our Council carried out online events that lean on local and global developments in the sector with our members within the scope of its activities under pandemic conditions. While bringing international organizations together, the Council evaluated the needs and demands during the pandemic period by keeping the finger on the pulse of member companies in its regular meetings.
In 2020, with the participation of the Board of DEİK, the video conference titled “The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on International Projects-Contract-Based Legal and Financial Risks” was held with EBRD, Baker & McKenzie, and TurkExim with great participation. In the last quarter of 2020, the international Engineering Forum was organized under the theme of “The Impact of Covid-19 on the Technical Consultancy Sector in cooperation with Multilateral Development Banks and FIDIC”, organized by the Federation of Consultants of Islamic Countries (FCIC) and our Council, in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Association of Turkish Consulting Engineers and Architects (ATCEA). In the same period, we held the “Indoor Air Quality, HVAC, Engineering and Architecture” webinar as part of the Interconnected Business Series with the cooperation of our Council and Business Finland.
In November, events titled “The Impact of Global Geopolitical Developments on the Infrastructure Sector” were organized by the International Engineering Forum and Quatro Consulting for our members under the theme of “The Impact of Climate Change on Africa and the Evaluation of the Covid-19 Pandemic in terms of Technical Consultancy Services”, organized by the Federation of Consultants from Islamic Countries (FCIC) and our Council. In December, “Azerbaijan Technical Consultancy Committee Meeting” was held with the participation of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, General Directorate of International Service Trade, and our sector and members were introduced to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Azeryol, Azersu, Azerbaijan Meliorasiya and Water Savings, Azerbaijan Railways, State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
