Qatar made important investments in Turkish tourism and banking sectors, and the country is now a significant market for Turkish contractors

Qatar is the only country that stands close to Turkey in the Persian Gulf Region. After the divergences with the Gulf countries and Egypt in 2017, Qatar experienced embargos. Turkey, on the other hand, gave great support to Qatar especially with food and medical supplies and faced off against the countries applying the embargo. Turkey-Qatar relationships grew stronger in this period and continued throughout the pandemic. Qatar made important investments in Turkish tourism and banking sectors, and the country is now a significant market for Turkish contractors.

In my opinion, the tensions between Qatar and the other countries of the region will be relieved soon. And Qatar, our brother country, will be Turkey’s door to all the Gulf region and become Turkey’s base in terms of logistics and manufacture.
