We believe that the bilateral trade relations between our country and Tunisia will further increase with the new projects we plan to realize

Tunisia and Türkiye’s bilateral relations have been progressing significantly since Tunisia’s independence in 1956. Especially after the signing of the Free Trade Agreement in 2004, trade relations between the two countries have increased considerably. Last year, this figure amounted to 1.6 billion dollars in exports Tunisia’s geographical location and its proximity to Europe offer serious opportunities for tourism. In addition, products such as olive oil, tomatoes, and oranges are grown in Tunisia with very high quality. However, these products, which are bought raw by European countries, are packaged and sold to third countries at much higher prices. One of the most beautiful investment opportunities in Tunisia will be the packaging of such products and exporting them through the installation of these products. On the other hand, the textile sector can be considered a serious investment area in Tunisia, especially thanks to its cheap labor force. Tunisia has the potential to be one of the major players in Africa and nearby geography with its large amount of phosphate reserves.

The Türkiye-Africa IV Economic and Business Forum (TABEF) brings together investors and entrepreneurs to explore mutual investment opportunities and risks. This leads to fruitful partnerships and collaborations. We held very productive meetings with the Tunisian Minister of Trade and the accompanying delegation attending TABEF. We believe that the bilateral trade relations between our country and Tunisia will further increase with the new projects we plan to realize and that many opportunities will be seized that will add value to the economy of both countries.
